Hazardous-Waste Document Check — right before you report

Photograph a transportdokument for farligt avfall and get a check: are all six mandatory fields present and readable, is it signed, is the EWC/avfallskod valid, does the weight match the vågsedel, and is everything needed to file present — GREEN/YELLOW/RED, before you report to Avfallsregistret.

For recyclers, scrapyards and anyone who produces or handles hazardous waste.

By hand

5–10 min per transport, checked by hand against the rules

With Tedrix

seconds

Across many transports a week that's hours saved — and one missed field is a 5,000 kr sanction avoided.

Estimated from a typical workflow — your numbers depend on volume.

What it does

Every transport of hazardous waste has to carry a signed transportdokument, and you have to record it in Avfallsregistret within two working days. A missing or wrong field is a 5,000 kr strict-liability fine — and the paperwork usually arrives as a faint paper slip or a phone photo.

This automation reads the transportdokument (and any vågsedel) in one pass and hands back a check: are the six mandatory fields present and readable, is it signed, is the avfallskod well-formed and hazardous, does the weight match the vågsedel, and is everything needed to file to Avfallsregistret there — as a GREEN/YELLOW/RED status. You check and file — it does the reading. It never files for you and never decides the waste classification.

What goes in

A hazardous-waste transport document (transportdokument) and any weighbridge ticket (vågsedel) — as a PDF or a phone photo.

What you get back

A check: the six mandatory fields (read verbatim), the EWC/avfallskod (format + hazardous flag), the weight vs the vågsedel, an Avfallsregistret-readiness list, flags to fix, and a GREEN/YELLOW/RED status.

What the output looks like

Example: used oil received at a scrapyard — transportdokument + vågsedel.

The request that comes in

📎 Transportdokument — EWC 13 02 05*, spillolja, 1,240 kg, signed

📎 …receiver 'Gävle Metallåtervinning AB' — no org.nr

📎 Vågsedel — net weight 1,190 kg

What Tedrix hands back

What it handles

  • Reads the transportdokument — even a faint scan or phone photo — in one pass
  • Checks all six mandatory fields are present, readable and signed
  • Validates the EWC/avfallskod format and hazardous (*) flag deterministically
  • Cross-checks the weight against the vågsedel when one is present
  • Shows exactly what's still needed to report to Avfallsregistret
  • GREEN/YELLOW/RED status before you file
  • Never files for you and never re-classifies the waste — you keep every decision
  • Documents are processed transiently and never stored

How it runs

1

Photograph the document

Snap or upload the transportdokument and any vågsedel — a phone photo of the paper slip is fine.

2

It reads every field

One pass extracts the six mandatory fields, the avfallskod, the signature and the weight.

3

It checks and flags

Missing or unreadable fields, an unsigned document, a bad code, or a weight that disagrees with the vågsedel are flagged.

4

You file with confidence

A GREEN/YELLOW/RED status tells you if it's ready for Avfallsregistret — before the two-working-day deadline.

Common questions

What does it actually check?

The six mandatory transportdokument fields (avfallskod, weight, transport date, origin, destination, transporter/sender/receiver), whether it's signed, whether the EWC code is well-formed and hazardous, whether the weight matches the vågsedel, and whether everything needed to report to Avfallsregistret is present.

Does it report to Avfallsregistret for me?

No. It checks the document before you file — you still log in and submit yourself. It's a second pair of eyes that catches the missing field before it becomes a 5,000 kr fine.

Does it decide the waste code for me?

No. Choosing the correct waste classification is your judgment under 2 kap. It checks the code's format and hazardous flag, and flags an obvious code-vs-description mismatch for you to confirm — it never picks a code.

Can it read a phone photo of the paper slip?

Yes — that's the normal case. It reads PDFs and photos, and when it genuinely can't make out a field it says so instead of guessing.
