Is your website visible in AI answers?

Enter your address and we read the page the way an AI assistant does, and look the company up in the registers it trusts.

What the test looks at

Whether AI crawlers are allowed in at all. Many sites block GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot in robots.txt without knowing, often through a theme or plugin. Then the page can never be cited.

What remains without JavaScript. Most AI crawlers run no scripts. A page built entirely in the browser looks empty to them, however much text the visitor sees.

Whether a machine understands who you are: markup with name and place, contact details as text, a date, and amounts written as numbers instead of in an image.

Whether other sources know you. AI answers weigh several sources. We look the company name up in Allabolag, Hitta and Wikipedia, the registers an assistant uses to confirm that a company exists and what it is called.

What the test does and does not do

  • We read one page at a time, exactly as the server delivers it, and we read the site's robots.txt. Then we look up the company name the page itself states in Allabolag, Hitta and Wikipedia. Review sites and social media block automated readers, so we do not check them.
  • We do not ask an AI model whether you appear, because that answer varies from run to run and cannot be trusted. Everything here is read from code and registers.
  • Nothing is stored. The address is not logged, and the page content is discarded once the answer is sent.

Common questions

How do I know if my website appears in ChatGPT?
Ask ChatGPT about what you sell and see if you are mentioned, but the answer varies from run to run. What can be measured are the preconditions: whether AI crawlers are allowed, whether the page has text without JavaScript, whether a machine understands who is behind it, and whether other sites mention the company. That is what this test checks.
Why does my website not appear in AI answers?
The usual reasons are that robots.txt blocks AI crawlers, that the page text is built by JavaScript the crawlers do not run, that no markup says who you are, and that no other sites mention you. AI answers draw on several sources and cite pages that answer early and concretely.
What is GPTBot and should I block it?
GPTBot is OpenAI's crawler that reads web pages for ChatGPT. Block it in robots.txt and ChatGPT cannot cite your site. Many themes and plugins block it by default without telling you. To appear in AI answers, allow it, along with ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot.
Is the test free?
Yes, three checks per day without an account or a card. The address you enter is not stored.
